Back to work

Gigson.co

Talent recruitment platform connecting African developers with international companies. I rebuilt the frontend from legacy code to a fast, maintainable stack.

Gigson Dashboard - Rebuilt with clean architecture

Launch Unblocked

The product had a database but no working frontend. I shipped the MVP that enabled them to finally go to market.

Architecture Reset

Complete rewrite from legacy architecture to a clean, modular stack. Future features are now fast to build.

Performance Gains

60% smaller bundle. 40% faster loads. The platform went from sluggish to snappy.

The Problem I Solved

The frontend was slow, the bundle was bloated, and the codebase had grown difficult to maintain over time. The product couldn't launch.

How I Worked

  • Complete rewrite. Not a refactor. A fresh architecture built for speed and maintainability.
  • Aggressive code splitting. Each route loads only what it needs. No wasted bytes.
  • Intelligent caching. CDN, browser cache, prefetch for likely navigation paths.
  • Progressive font loading. Eliminated render-blocking resources.
  • Cursor-based pagination. Better performance for large talent datasets.

The Result

The platform is live at gigson.co and actively used for developer recruitment across Africa. The contract keeps extending. When you make someone's product fast and maintainable, they don't want you to leave.
